Course Description

This class is designed to provide a clear and simple introduction to using an Apple Mac computer. Whether you're transitioning from a PC, using it for work, or exploring it for personal use, this course will cover everything you need to confidently navigate your Mac daily. Emphasis will be placed on making the most of your Mac while enjoying the experience.

Topics include an overview of macOS, System Preferences, the Dock, Finder, essential Mac utilities, and tools for managing email and browsing the internet in addition to other areas of interests based on student needs.

Course Objectives

• Introduce students to getting started with Mac and the anatomy of Apple products

• Demonstrate proficiency in the use of Mac basics and tools

• Bolster student's ability to personalize and organize their Mac

• Learn and apply the basic principles of email, internet, iTunes, iCal and iPhoto

• Discover the benefits and services that make up your Apple product
